Information:
The 600 Year Old Oak was growing before Christopher Columbus arrived
in America and came from a storm-damaged tree near Sacramento,
California. The tree was locally famous and I read a newspaper
article in the Sacramento Bee that described the tree and its
demise. This piece has lots of character including nice looking
figure and spalt
that creates contrasting colors. The
Pepper Burl comes from a tree removed for construction near Ventura,
California. This piece has lots of figure and crevices which
provides a nice contrast to the 600 Year Old Oak. |
